Meet the Demo Team

Northwind Freight is a fictional company. These lines come straight from its pages in the live demo.

“The customer hears bad news from us first, never from the tracking page.”

Devon Park

From Operations handbook

“v1 polls every truck each minute. v2 streams position updates and recomputes ETAs only when a load drifts.”

Mira Chen

From Tracking API v2: design

“Welcome aboard! This page is published to the web so new starters can read it before day one.”

Priya Nair

From Welcome to Northwind

“Keep the live board current. Any load more than 45 minutes behind its window moves to the delayed-shipments playbook.”

Devon Park

From Dispatch runbook

“Peak runs from mid-November to the first week of January.”

Mira Chen

From Q4 peak season plan

“Verdant & Co ships chilled produce to 40 grocery stores.”

FAQs

Answers about the live demo and the full version Randy See builds for your organisation.

Yes. The demo is the Loft interface itself: collections, nested documents, the rich editor, search and publishing all work. The differences are storage and collaboration: the demo keeps everything in your browser, so there is no sign-up and nothing leaves your device, and teammates' presence and public links are simulated. Both become real in the full version.

A production backend. Randy See connects Loft to a real database and a sync server for live co-editing and comments, adds single sign-on with your identity provider, and deploys it on your cloud or your own servers with backups and an audit trail, under your name, logo and domain.

Yes. The full version can be self-hosted in your data centre or in the cloud region your policies require, so documents, attachments and keys stay with you. Randy See can also run it for you if you prefer.

Usually, yes. Loft works in open formats, and the demo already exports any page to Markdown. For the full version we plan the migration from your current tool as part of the build.
